Start with the network, not the brand
Most publishers join a program and never look at the layer underneath. That layer is the network: the platform that hosts tracking links, reports and payouts. Across this group the networks range from large shared platforms to single-brand systems and to direct programmes with nothing in between. Because the network decides how links are tracked and how money moves, it is the first thing to read on any program page.
Each program page here lists the networks it runs on, and the program review carries commission, cookie and payout terms. Read them in that order. A program on a network you already hold an account with is quicker to start than one that needs a fresh approval, and a program that runs on several networks gives you a second route if the first approval is declined.
Programs on a single network
The single-network group is the easiest to compare, because the tracking rules you learn on one program carry over to the next. On Impact you will find 1-800 Contacts, Airalo, Bill.com and Bitpanda. On Awin you will find Accountable, Allianz Travel Reiseversicherungen DE, AML Travel and Tours, Assist Card Afiliados and AXA. On financeAds you will find ABANCA, arttrade, Atlantic Money and Bit2Me.
Specialised platforms sit just below them. 1-800-Flowers Affiliate Program lists CJ. 1822direkt lists Sovrn and Baufi24 lists Sovrn Commerce. Allegro and BBVA Deutschland list Admitad. AGILA Haustierversicherung lists FlexOffers. 5a7coquin lists Pulsar Ads and 7bet lists MyAffiliates.
Verdict: one network per program keeps the comparison clean, but it also means one approval per program, so group candidates by network and keep a single set of tracking notes per platform.
Programs listed on more than one network
Some brands appear on several networks at once, which means one offer can be reached by more than one route. Banggood lists CJ, ShareASale, Admitad, Webgains, Tradedoubler and Rakuten, the widest set in this group. AliExpress lists AliExpress Portals, Awin, FlexOffers and Sovrn. AXA Deutschland lists Awin and financeAds. Agoda Affiliate lists FlexOffers and Travelpayouts.
The trade-off is reach against clarity. More networks mean more chances of approval and more reporting to reconcile, but commission, cookie windows and approval rules can differ per network, so a second route is not automatically the same deal. Choose one network as the primary for that brand and keep the rest as a fallback. Verdict: multi-network listings widen your options, but compare terms network by network rather than assuming they match.
Networks named after the brand
Some programmes fill the network slot with their own name, which tells you tracking sits inside the company. Betamina Partners lists Betamina Partners, and Amazon.it Associates lists Amazon Associates rather than a third-party platform. AliExpress lists AliExpress Portals alongside its outside networks.
The same pattern shows up with standalone brands: BBW Fun lists HubPeople, BeiAnrufSex lists VX-CASH, AdultTime lists FameDollars, Bank Norwegian lists Adtraction and Banco Santander lists Indoleads. Verdict: when the network name matches the brand or its in-house arm, approval and reporting happen in one place and the terms come from the operator alone.
Direct programmes with no network
Two programmes here skip the network layer. Agora direct and Amillex Ib both list direct, so tracking and payouts are handled by the brand itself. The advantage is one relationship and one report to read. The cost is that you lose the shared marketplace where offers sit side by side, so the terms come from each brand on its own.
Tracking terms and the window that decides the payout
Tracking detail is where programs differ most, and it belongs beside commission in any comparison. AWEmpire (LiveJasmin family, casual-dating tier) records tracking of cookie 14 days, 30 days PPS, the one explicit window and pay model listed in this group.
A cookie window decides how long a click stays credited to you, and the pay model decides when that commission is confirmed, so read the two together. Where a program page lists networks without tracking terms, the review is where the window and pay model are set out. Verdict: a longer window at a lower rate can outweigh a short window at a higher one, so never rank on rate alone.
Narrow by sector once the network is settled
Financial and trading brands cluster on financeAds and Impact, so start with Banking and fintech programs. Crypto and trading platforms appear on Impact and through in-house programmes, listed in Crypto and Web3 programs. Privacy and security offers run on Awin and their own platforms, listed in Security, VPN and proxy programs.
The reviews carry the terms behind each listing: 1-800 Contacts for an Impact programme, 1-800-Flowers Affiliate Program for CJ, 5a7coquin for Pulsar Ads and 7bet for MyAffiliates.
A short routine for a shortlist
Write down the network first, check whether a second route exists, read the tracking window and pay model, then compare commission and payout terms in the review. If a program sits on a network you already run, approval is the only step left. Verdict: network first, terms second, sector directory third.
